Real life - a few notable characteristics are, alphabetically: atheist, biker, biologist, SF fan, skeptic, vegetarian. White, monogamous, heterosexual, male Englishman; unpierced, untattooed, doesn't smoke, doesn't use caffeine. Drinks real ale and fine beer in moderation, avoids spirits and detests wine.

I am explicitly a strong atheist: I believe that there are no such things as gods. Yes, this does rather contradict being an ordained minister, but the Universal Life Church is a very inclusive organization. I accord all religions and religious belief the same amount of respect, which is to say, none. Despite the name Hiram, this is also why I am not a Freemason, although my father was and many friends are.
